SEAT’s Paris 2010 show car is a new iteration of the SEAT IBE Concept, an electric “sports coupe”.The IBE was first shown in Geneva earlier this year, and this is a revised version.

It’s compact 2+2 seater at only 3,830mm long, and wide at 1,7700mm wide and 1,230mm tall. It’s electric motors makes 75 kW peak, or 102 PS and 200Nm for those who prefer to speak in horses. Continuous output ability is lower at 50kW or 68 PS. 0 to 50km/h takes 3.6 seconds, and going up to a ‘safe’ cruise speed of 80km/h is reached in 6.6 seconds. Progress up to the benchmark 100km/h speed takes a total of 9.7 seconds, which is not blazing fast but it isn’t really a slowpoke either.

One of the new highlights to the IBE Concept with this Paris version is the new smart phone interface, where a wireless app such as an iPhone app can connect to the car’s systems and conduct an online check including its battery and trip computer display. It also has multimedia capabilities, allowing an album or a song to be selected rom the smart phone and played through the car’s sound system by pressing the ‘drag to car’ option.

The Seat Exeo is the spanish version of the previous generation Audi A4. the Exeo comes in 5 trims 2 of which (range topping SE Tech and Sport Tech) were recently added to the lineup.

The Exeo can be configured to have 3 types of engine under the hood namely the 2.0 TDI turbodiesel producing 143 HP or 170 HP, as well as a 2.0 TSI turbocharged petrol unit with 200 PS. All engines are mated, as standard, to a six-speed manual gearbox.

All Exeos will come equipped with standard USB connectivity that allows MP3 music players to be used in-car; cruise control; steering wheel-mounted audio controls; dual zone climate control; alloy wheels; front fog lamps; electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors; electric windows; ESP; ABS; six airbags; volumetric alarm with tilt sensor and remote central locking.

Spanish automaker Seat took part in the Volkswagen Group fest around lake Wörthersee from May 12 to 15 with an array of production and racing cars. The highlights of the Seat brand included an Ibiza ST (Sports Tourer) with an extensive package of accessories and a brand new Ibiza ST with the aggressive black fascia of the Ibiza Bocanegra.

And while it's nice to see Seat getting some attention from the VW Group, unfortunately and for reasons we fail to understand, the Spanish brand did not release any specific details on the two Ibiza estate models.

That said, we don't know if the Ibiza ST Bocanegra is a production model or simply a show car, nor if it's powered by the 1.4-liter twin-charged TSI engine found in the Ibiza FR 150HP and Ibiza Cupra 180HP Bocangera hatches.

The all-new Seat Alhambra MPV made its appearance today and will go on sale across Europe this summer. If you've seen the latest generation Volkswagen Sharan that was unveiled at last month's Geneva Motor Show, then the Alhambra will come to no surprise.

In fact, aside from the Alhambra's unique fascia and tail lamp designs, the two MPVs are identical. Same goes for the interior as the only difference between the Alhambra and Sharan concerns the steering wheel hub.

Measuring 4.85 meters in length, the new Seat Alhambra is 220 mm longer than its predecessor, while it is also wider by a full 90mm.

It features large sliding doors with optional electric operation and can seat up to seven passengers in three rows of seats.

When configured as a five-seater the Mediterranean-flavored Sharan has 885 lt of load space available, which grows to a cavernous maximum of 2,297 liters if only the front two seats are in use.

Unlike its predecessor if more storage room is called for the second and third-row seats need no longer be removed as they can be sunk into the vehicle floor using the "Easy-Fold" system.

In addition, the middle row seats can also be arranged longitudinally, with integrated child seats available as an option.

Underneath the hood, there's a new engine line-up with TSI petrol and TDI diesel units, all equipped with fuel injection and turbocharging as well as Start-Stop system and brake energy recovery technology.

There are two TSI units producing 150- and 200-horsepower, and two 2.0-liter TDI engines delivering 140HP and 170HP.

The Most Powerful Seat ever has arrived in UK carrying a pricetag of £25,205. The Seat Leon Cupra R is capable of a sprint time from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in 6.2 seconds while reaching top speed of 250km/h (155mph). The Leon Cupra R returns 35mpg UK (equal to 29.2 mpg US and 8.7lt/100km) on the combined European cycle with 190 g/km of CO2. Under the hood of the Cupra R is a Volkswagen sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot delivering a maximum output of 265HP and a peak torque of 350 Nm at 2,500 rpm that drive the front-wheels through a revised six-speed manual gearbox.
