It's taken a while, but we finally got our hands on a collection of photos of the 2011 Chrysler 300 sedan that we can share with you. Set to have its world premiere at next month's Detroit Motor Show, Chrysler's flagship sedan is expected to go on sale in the States around spring of 2011, while there has also been talk about a Lancia-badged version named Thema, which could be revealed in Europe towards the end of next year.

Chrysler has yet to release official info on the redesigned 300, however, the powertrain lineup is expected to be similar to its Dodge Charger twin, offering buyers the option of a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or the 5.7-liter V8 Hemi, as well as the choice of rear- or all-wheel drive.

In terms of the exterior design, out goes the bad boy / gangster look of the first generation model, and in comes a more elegant, almost Buick / Lincoln-like styling approach with far more softer lines and heaps of chrome trim.

We don't have many official pictures of the interior yet, but from the various shots that have made their way onto the internet (see here), the cabin appears to have been redesigned from the ground up, featuring a more luxurious and upscale, but somewhat conservative, appearance.

If you think the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is too hot yet the Dodge Ram Power Wagon is too cold, General Motors' latest concept might strike you as "just right." This, the GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept, looks to bridge the gap between the two hardcore pickups from GM's crosstown rivals, while still offering top-notch levels of power, refinement and technology.

The four-door 2011 Sierra HD underpins the All Terrain concept, and power comes from The General's 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8. A six-speed automatic sends the 397 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels. Versus a normal Sierra HD, ground clearance has been increased by about three inches, width has been bumped up to 73 inches (four more than normal) and the whole package rides on 20-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 35-inch BFGoodrich KM2 mud terrain tires. Off-road performance is enhanced with the addition of Fox off-road shocks (just like the Ford Raptor).

Inside, GM has fitted the All Terrain concept with a Denali-spec interior with additional satin metal finishes and a leather-wrapped dash. What's more, a next-generation stereo system with an 80-gigabyte hard drive has been fitted inside this concept, and we'll soon be seeing this new system across the full GM product range.

Currently, there are no plans to create a production version of the All Terrain HD concept, though word is that if a road-ready version of this ultra-tough Sierra is produced, it probably wouldn't come off of a GM line – it would likely be crafted with the assistance of a second-tier firm (think: Roush).

How many Minis is too many? Mini's about to find out as its product portfolio expands faster than a jilted lover's waistline. The hatchback that (re)started it all and the cabrio that followed shortly thereafter have since been joined by the Clubman wagon and the Countryman crossover, with WRC and Dakar rally versions, speedsters and coupes and more in the production pipeline. But that doesn't even take into account some of the concept derivatives that haven't (yet) made it to production, and this is the latest.

Called the Paceman, it's essentially a Countryman minus a couple of doors. It's set to be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January as a concept car, but could very well make it to production as well. Taking a page out of its parent company's BMW's playbook, Mini calls the Paceman a "Sports Activity Coupe" (sort of like the BMW X6) and insists it's the first of its kind in the small premium segment. A "first" is pretty easy to achieve when you define the category yourself, but to our eyes the Paceman, with its sloping white roof, looks set to take on the likes of the three-door Range Rover Evoque, only smaller.

Under the hood, Mini's fitted the JCW turbo four with 211 horsepower, mated to the same ALL4 all-wheel drive system used in the Countryman. More details are available in the press release after the jump, along with the initial images in the gallery below.

Here’s a name that should sound very familiar, except that it’s on a completely new face. Nissan has unveiled an all-new global sedan called the Sunny at the 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition.

The Sunny name isn’t new to China – it was first introduced in 2003 on the first locally-built model from the new Dongfeng Nissan partnership, and the first Sunny quickly helped establish the Nissan brand in the passenger vehicle market there.

This one is set to take things further afield – Nissan says the car will be a projected class leader in fuel economy, and is expected to appeal to young families in their 30s looking for a medium-sized sedan that combines a dynamic upscale design with the space, quality and features associated with the model and the brand.

It’s powered by the ubiquitous HR15DE 1.5 litre block, with dual injectors per cylinder and a partnering new-generation Xtronic CVT transmission being new to China. Other specs include front MacPherson struts and a torsion beam for the rear suspension.

The car will be produced at the Dongfeng Nissan Huadu Plant in Guangzhou for the Chinese market, and the new Sunny will go on sale first in China in January 2011 before progressively making its way into 170 countries worldwide under different vehicle brand names.

UK-based tuning firm Project Kahn has unleashed its latest creation based on the diesel-powered Land Rover Range Rover. The comprehensive tune covers both the interior and exterior styling as well as the 4.4-liter V8 diesel, courtesy of renowned engine tuner Cosworth.

On the outside, the Range Rover RS500 gets redesigned bumpers, the rear featuring a diffuser, lowered side skirts and a quad tail pipe exhaust system developed by Cosworth. Certain components are painted in silver and form a nic contrast with the black paintjob and tinted windows. The RS500 rides on 22-inch RSX alloys with a multi-spoke design.

Inside, bespoke black quilted leather with silver stitching wraps the seats, glove box and dashboard. There's also aluminum decor on the doorsills, center console, gear lever, air vents and steering wheel. Manufactured in Italy with original Land Rover parts, the new steering wheel has a motorsport-inspired contour and promises to offer a better grip.

The final piece of the RS500 puzzle is the Cosworth performance upgrade, which squeezes 500 horsepower out the 4.4-liter V8 diesel engine, up from the standard version's 313 hp and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.

According to ABT, the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg should be tuned without diluting its distinct character. As a result, the Bavarian specialist concentrated on increasing the power of the German SUV, while keeping the exterior changes to a minimum.

“More power wouldn’t hurt with a car as diverse as this, but it was important for us that the tuning suited the characteristics of the Touareg”, the company’s general manager, Christian Abt, explained.

Tipping the scales at 2.5 tons, the Touareg is certainly no featherweight, so adding more power and torque to the mix is probably a good idea. Engineers developed the ABT Power kit for 3.0-liter diesel V6, which increases peak output from 240 hp to 282 hp. The second stage of the engine conversion is called Power S and delivers 310 hp.

Garnished with a similar power upgrade, the 4.2-liter V8 diesel also benefits from extra oomph, churning out 385 hp (+45 ponies) and an even more impressive 870 Nm (642 lb-ft) of mountain-moving torque (+70 Nm or 52 lb-ft).

As mentioned previously, exterior appointments are discrete as they are limited to a new front grille, rear wing and rear apron, alongside a 4-pipe exhaust system. ABT BR or CR wheels, which can be specified in various sizes up to 22 inches complete the finishing touch.
